The production of municipal solid waste is an inevitable consequence of human activity, and its management directly impacts the health of the people andenvironment surrounding it. The process of Municipal Solid WasteManagement (MSWM) encompasses all thefunction of direct waste generation, storage, collection, source separation, processing, transport, treatment, recovery and disposal. These processes have tobe carried out within existing legal, social, economic efficient and environmental guidelines which are very important for theprotection of public health and theenvironmental. To achieve these goals, effective and sustainable Municipal solidwaste management systems must beembraced by local authorities withappropriate organizational capacity andcooperation between numerous stakeholders in the public and private sectors actors. However, management of Municipal Solid Wastein most cities ofdeveloping countries is highly unsatisfactory.
Through our ImpactWaste project implemented through ENdep, We are strategically positioned to disrupt this challenge by deploying and operating state of the art waste sorting, recycling, composting and waste to energy technologies in Tanzania and beyond within the Africa continent. We embrace the philosophy of “Treasure from Trash” which is our inspiration to ensure that the business and the surrounding communities are in win-win situation. Input:
